OCS-week 10 & 11

Published by coachshalanda at 8:52 am under Military Life Edit This

It is so wonderful to know that soon and very soon I will be flying out to Rhode Island. I recently found out my future Navy officer has been reading this blog. He found comfort in being able to see what the kids and I were doing on a weekly basis. We were traveling alot to make time pass but have been home for the past week or so. The kids went to a children’s playcenter that is very similar to Chuck E. Cheeses and did a little karaoke. Talk about hilarious! Instead of having to buy tokens you pay $7 per child for them to play games on a Wii, an indoor playground, a miniature house, a moon bounce and other toys you may find at home. Good times. It wasn’t crowded and I could sit at the table and eat my lunch without ever losing sight of the boys.

My seaman has been able to call and text even more which is wonderful. I am looking forward to our first hug next week after three months of not seeing each other. The kids are excited too, of course but will have to wait just a little while longer because mommy and daddy are going on a short vacation after OCS graduation.

11 weeks down, 1 to go!!

Take a vacation with your significant other whenever possible.
